Michael Ness was the man responsible for killing Peter Gordon in a car crash.
Biography
Michael Ness was a criminal who was hired by Frank Gordon to kill his brother Peter on behalf of the Court of Owls. Michael carried out the deed by driving into Peter's car (which also contained his young son Jim Gordon). Jim survived the incident, however Peter perished. The incident was covered up and made to look like a drunk driving accident, and Michael was sent to prison. Due to Michael suffering chronic hepititis (meaning he would not be able to drink alcohol without dying) the report ended up being doctored. Jim would go on until his adult life believing his father was killed by a drunk driver.
Legacy
In present day, Jim began to uncover the secret behind his father's death and that it was a hit rather than an accident.
