Dietrich is an inmate in Arkham Asylum. Jerome sneaked into his shock therapy session and turned up the juice, rendering Dietrich a vegetable. Penguin later switched himself out with Dietrich when Jerome attempted to hang him. Penguin instead electrocuted Dietrich with a lamp after the vegetable wet himself; he hoped to kill Jerome, who was holding the noose.
