Bannion was a member of the Falcone crime family. He was really close to Falcone and he and Falcone rose to top of underworld same time.

He was one of Falcone's top capos and Falcone trusted him so much that he gave him responsible to look after guarding of his secret armory where his money was. At top of Falcone's crime family no one else knew about Falcone's secret money stash than Bannion.

Biography

Bannion was killed by Don Falcone at a dinner meeting of the Falcone crime family, as he was supposed to guard Falcone's armory, though he failed at doing so. It is unclear why he failed in his duty, but is believed he was either bribed by Fish Mooney or if Fish had found some way to keep him occupied while the robbery went down.
